The Canterville Ghost team had Director Kim Burdon's character artwork, and that was a great starting point for a further six months of exploration to find a complementing background style. My visual output stretched across all corners of the film; from dark castle interiors to mysterious garden settings. Below are some of the key paintings.
For anyone that deosn’t know the story by Oscar Wilde. The poor ghost of Sir Simon Canterville has been roaming his castle searching in vain for a brave descendant who will release him from the Canterville curse by performing a brave deed. An American family moves in and finds the ghost amusing, but a young girl in the family can release him - if she dares.
